Yary is absolutely the best. I have difficult curly hair, but she always cuts it so that it stays looking great. I only got a cut on this visit, but she does a fabulous job with color as well. I'm not a "salon person" but her kindness and skill keep me coming back to Face Value.

I wish I had the courage to stick up for myself when I was there, but we all know that's awkward, so I just reminded myself that hair grows. I am in the Army, and an occupational hazard is always finding a new salon. I booked a last minute evening appointment and figured an Aveda salon can never be that bad. My partial hilghlight consisted of 15 poorly executed foils. In my 10 years of getting highlights, my foil average is 40. I would have paid more for more fouls, but was not offered that option. My haircut was also terrible. The stylist's scissors appeared blunt, but I suspect it was an execution problem and not so much a scissor problem. I believe my stylist was very new, too new to be left alone with a customer. My new salon hunt will continue.

I am so sorry that your experience with us was less then it should have been. I certainly do not expect you to pay for something that was not up to your expectations and am happy to refund your money. We actually welcome negative feedback as well as positive. Any salon can make a mistake, what they do about it is what matters. I would invite you back, for free, to give us another opportunity to serve you (with another stylist). A partial highlight in our salon is 20 foils. The stylist should have been more forthcoming with her explanation of what she was going to do and what it would cost. She is young, but not inexperienced, she just lacks the polish and confidence she will gain working with us and we will certainly monitor her more closely for the benefit of all concerned. It is never our intention to do a bad job.

FVS, Related to today's appointment: I want to communicate directly that I was not happy with my service and greatly concerned about the excessive color processing that took place. Arriving on time. I sat with product on my head for one hour patiently waiting for what was apparently an overbooked colorist. No one was tracking the time that the color/dye was on my hair and scalp. At one hour, I had to ask for someone to wash my head and get the dye out of my hair and off my scalp. When shampooed, the color was not fully removed from my face and my ears. I found color/dried dye caked in my ears when I returned home. Currently my scalp is burning and feeling very itchy/irritated and I have a head ache. I am very concerned about the impact this excessive processing may have on my hair/scalp. Totally unacceptable. After joining your salon a year ago and consistently/faithfully scheduling, showing up for appointments, and leaving generous tips; I feel mistreated. At this time, I am expressing high concern and great dissatisfaction about what happened this afternoon. Remove all my future appointments from your schedule. I no longer trust your salon/colorist and the quality of service.

I was unhappy with my haircut, and both Melissa was terrific about getting me back in very quickly for a correction. Stephanie (who did not perform the original cut) did a great job trying to correct it.
I'm not sure what happened, but when I asked Carolina to blend my layers so they wouldn't be so exaggerated, I received a Carol Brady mullet! I hate this haircut and have cried about it a couple of times now. Stephanie did her best to fix it, but I think the only solution is time. The layers are so short that there's nothing much that can be done about it. I think Carolina and I just didn't communicate well, but now I feel awful about how I look.
