I have always used Aveda Salons and had exceptional service until my recent visit in Crozet. I arrived at the salon at 3:55 for my 4:00 appointment. I was taken back and told the stylist I wanted 2-3 inches cutoff with a few long layers. She washed my hair in the fastest way possible. As soon as she started cutting my hair she was approached by another employee asking if she could "fit in" another client to which she responded yes. She cut my hair very fast and only cut a few layers around my face. No layers were cut anywhere else. She then started drying my hair with the blow dryer and her hand. No brush was used until the very end when she brushed my hair. My hair was not dried in sections, and I left with a half wet head and very frizzy hair. I was quite embarrassed with how my hair looked. I paid for my hair cut and was back in my car by 4:15. I believe she cut my appointment short so she could fit in the other client. I will not use her again.

Did not do what I asked as far as length and left with 11/2-2 inches more than I wanted. Did not have them dry or style my hair and was still charged $40.

I wish I had the courage to stick up for myself when I was there, but we all know that's awkward, so I just reminded myself that hair grows. I am in the Army, and an occupational hazard is always finding a new salon. I booked a last minute evening appointment and figured an Aveda salon can never be that bad. My partial hilghlight consisted of 15 poorly executed foils. In my 10 years of getting highlights, my foil average is 40. I would have paid more for more fouls, but was not offered that option. My haircut was also terrible. The stylist's scissors appeared blunt, but I suspect it was an execution problem and not so much a scissor problem. I believe my stylist was very new, too new to be left alone with a customer. My new salon hunt will continue.

I am so sorry that your experience with us was less then it should have been. I certainly do not expect you to pay for something that was not up to your expectations and am happy to refund your money. We actually welcome negative feedback as well as positive. Any salon can make a mistake, what they do about it is what matters. I would invite you back, for free, to give us another opportunity to serve you (with another stylist). A partial highlight in our salon is 20 foils. The stylist should have been more forthcoming with her explanation of what she was going to do and what it would cost. She is young, but not inexperienced, she just lacks the polish and confidence she will gain working with us and we will certainly monitor her more closely for the benefit of all concerned. It is never our intention to do a bad job.

FVS, Related to today's appointment: I want to communicate directly that I was not happy with my service and greatly concerned about the excessive color processing that took place. Arriving on time. I sat with product on my head for one hour patiently waiting for what was apparently an overbooked colorist. No one was tracking the time that the color/dye was on my hair and scalp. At one hour, I had to ask for someone to wash my head and get the dye out of my hair and off my scalp. When shampooed, the color was not fully removed from my face and my ears. I found color/dried dye caked in my ears when I returned home. Currently my scalp is burning and feeling very itchy/irritated and I have a head ache. I am very concerned about the impact this excessive processing may have on my hair/scalp. Totally unacceptable. After joining your salon a year ago and consistently/faithfully scheduling, showing up for appointments, and leaving generous tips; I feel mistreated. At this time, I am expressing high concern and great dissatisfaction about what happened this afternoon. Remove all my future appointments from your schedule. I no longer trust your salon/colorist and the quality of service.

Overpriced, not even straight haircut for my one year old boy :( Was expecting to use my $10 referral credit that a friend told me a while back I would receive, but the receptionist could not find it in the system... Unfortunately will no longer be referring my Crozet playgroup mommas here.

All staff members were very nice,... All staff members were very nice, friendly and attentive. The haircut I received was an excellent cut but not what the customer asked for. Prior to my first appointment I stopped in the salon to meet the hairdresser and she took photos of my hair style to refer to when I came in, We discussed pricing as I wanted a dry cut. Appointment day resulted in it being cut WAY too short even after I restated NOT short/just a trim. Hairdresser assurred me she always airs on the side of conservative with first time clients. Four weeks later I am still waiting for my hair to grow out to an acceptable length. It has been a long time since the state of my hair has made me feel unattractive. In addition I was charged $20 more than I was told the cost would be. Obviously my first and last visit was not an acceptable experience.

I felt that my hair dresser did... I felt that my hair dresser did not fully understand want I wanted my hair to look like nor did she try to understand. She seem unhappy to be cutting my hair. I am pleased with my experience there and I am also not very happy with my hair cut.
