I had a wonderful experience with Taylor! I went to her at the last salon she was at and decided where she went I'd follow. She is always very personable, kind, and is an amazing hair stylist. I couldn't have been happier with my cut!
The salon itself was very welcoming, as was the staff. Overall it was a very good experience and I will continue to have my services done at Face Value.

This was one of the worst hair salon experiences I have ever encountered. Not only were the receptionists rude when I was making my appointment, acting like it was a chore that I called in the first place, but once I was there, Taylor gave me one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. I came in with very long hair and asked for a cut to shoulder length, I brought pictures, and explained that my hair would curl up as it got shorter. Apparently, none of this made any difference as I walked out of the salon with a bob cut that I now have to straighten every day or else it just looks like a bad poof on my head. I am sure this salon has some great stylists, but from experience, I would say to avoid booking with Taylor unless you are only in need of a tiny trim. I would not recommend this salon and I am sad to have gotten such a poor haircut from an Aveda salon.

Appt with Becki Smith at 12:00 on 8/14/19. Arrived at 11:57. She had a client in the chair and receptionist told me it would be 35 mins. I was going to wait. Upon hearing it was the stylist's choice to call me ahead of time to give me a heads up of the delay and she did not, I let them know that I felt disrespected and would not be coming back to the salon ever.

Honestly my best hair experience to date. Esther was so sweet and talented - she knew exactly what I was looking for based off a couple of pictures and knew just how to tailor things to my preferences. The salon is beautiful and clean and everyone who worked there really seemed to know and enjoy what they were doing.

I love Courtney. So. Much. It says a lot when I trust my stylist to not even come in with a picture or idea of what I want. She knows my hair so well, and my style, comfort levels, to make suggestions that turn out STUNNING! She's bubbly and fun to talk to. Everyone at the salon is welcoming and warm. I look forward to my visits because I KNOW I'm going to have the perfect experience. Won't be going anywhere else as long as I live near Charlottesville. LOVE YA COURT!! <3

Maintaining a high level of service in a beauty salon is a challenge and Face Value exceeds in every way. From the courteous staff at the front desk to each professional stylist, Face Value’s ambiance and service delivery are consistently excellent. It’s a luxury to have a stylist like Esther who spends sufficient time in asking very specifically what you want, before she mixes color or begins to style. No rush, no misunderstanding. Your comfort is priority and the hand, temple, shoulder massages are a treat. Aveda products are described in detail when you ask, no hard sell to purchase. Rescheduling is done with ease, and reminders are conveniently given. The only complaint is that Face Value isn’t open seven days a week!
