Julia was my stylist today and she could not have been more wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and will make you feel right at home. I had a great experience and I will deffinitly be back to see her in the future. Also the front staff desk were very friendly and greeted me as I walked in. Wonderful staff and enviornment.

Laura was lovely and does awesome highlights.
Upon my first visit, I was required to initial multiple items in a form stating that no-shows are charged $50, not all results are perfect on the first try, and I can't recall what else. I found this to be bizarre and offensive. I would think that this salon, and it's patrons, are of a caliber that a contract for good behavior shouldn't be needed. I found this to be RIDICULOUS, and I probably will not be back, even though my stylist did an excellent job. Had I not been leaving for vacation the next day, I would have walked out.

Unfortunately the world does not always function as we wish it would. We have found that in the past 7 years by using this tool of service acknowledgement for new clients that it has allowed us to proactively avoid any misunderstandings. Using this assures us that we have done our due diligence to value our stylist's time and all client's needs. I typically shy around writing negative comments because I feel like they can seem rude and I don't want to sound like that. I was just really disappointed with my cut with Julia. She was extremely sweet and friendly, but she barely spent 30 minutes on my long hair-wash,cut, and style. She didn't section my hair when she was cutting it-she just cut it when it was all down, which it feels like she didn't trim any of my layers. She didn't do a professional blow out my hair either-she just blow dried it like I do at home and took a round brush to it a few times when it was already dry. A $60 cut for me is A LOT of money and I was really hoping to have a service that equaled that price. I'm very disappointed, especially considering all the friends I referred to Face Value.

The salon enabled our large wedding party to have food & drinks set up and we could spend time together while taking turns having hair and make-up done. Everyone was so accommodating.
Of our 14 + people, only 2 girls were dissatisfied with their make-up.

My husband and I live in an RV and travel throughout the US. We are in the Charlottesville area every year for two months or so. A friend recommended Aveda salons. I went to Face Value at Stonefield today for a single color and cut with Stephanie. I am very pleased because Stephanie took the time to listen to me and my hair is exactly what I asked for. Today, I really took noticed of how warm the towels are and they did not have an ugly scent. In the past I am not sure what type of detergent has been used but I am aware there has been a change .... For the better!! Thank you

Did a good job on my eyebrow wax.
I booked an appt for my son online for a shampoo, dry and cut. The stylist never shampooed him, trimmed his hair (the trim looked ok), but I was charged for the whole service (shampoo, etc) which he never got (a $15 difference). I emailed and no one ever responded. So I'm not so inclined to send him there again.
