Face Value Salon is the first salon I have made consecutive appointments at, specifically because of my hair stylist Brooke Johnson. She is awesome! The first appointment I had with her I wasn't expecting much because my hair is thin and fine and I really dislike it. I wanted to try something new to give it more volume, but was scared because it's never turned out well in the past or hair stylists don't truly listen to my needs and do whatever they want. Brooke was very patient listening to exactly what I wanted while offering her suggestions only when I asked. She was very knowledgeable and I trusted her to try something a little different. I'm so glad I did and have gone back twice since! The atmosphere of the salon is also very relaxing and I'm very glad to have found a permanent place to get my hair cut!

Jessy did an AMAZING job for my wedding day. What a creative talent she has! Are use the bridal package option, so had a very fun test hair do with Jesse, so the morning of my wedding went absolutely flawlessly. The salon is beautiful, clean, bright, and very welcoming. The staff is friendly and professional. Great business!

This has been our salon for a couple of years now. We can only give the highest recommendation for courtesy, skill of stylists, ambiance. We've had appointments with at least five of the stylists, all of whom were sensitive to questions and requests. We travel lots, so we've had to reschedule and the staff is incredibly helpful in finding and booking as we need. The salon is pretty, it's immaculate, and the Aveda products are top-notch. There is ample parking, the salon is well-located so shopping and grabbing lunch is easy. The personal attention from staff and stylists who greet you, offer you coffee or tea, and bid you good-bye are nice touches. We really cannot say enough about William, about Yessi and the other colorists and stylists. It's obvious that training and good management are important here. This is THE salon to visit in Charlottesville!

Shannon took the time to listen to what I wanted and I what I didn’t want - and she nailed it. I’ve never written a review for a haircut nor have I ever felt inclined to return to a salon. I will definitely be sticking with Face Value Salon - such a great experience.
